Twenty One Pilots is a performing duo.Tyler Joseph - lead vocals, piano, keyboards, ukulele, keytar, synthesizer & Josh Dun - drums.The group was formed in 2009.Their very first gig, only 12 people showed up. And now they have thousands of people lining up to see them. They are known for their energetic live sets and distinctive fusion of piano-driven electronic pop and lyrical uplift. The way they describe their music is emotional but with joy in it.

During their shows, the two performers sometimes wear masks. The story behind the masks is, they want their music to speak and come first to the fans, not their identities.

Singer Tyler Joseph said, "we are all responsible for our personal joy; but happiness is different. Joy is not circumstantial, happiness is. You can be depressed and still have joy. You can be suicidal and still have joy. We all stop thinking and we all stop talking and we all stop sharing and we all stop creating, because by doing any ofthese things we quickly find out just how unhappy we are. But that�s okay. That�s normal. Don�t let the fear of unhappiness cripple your pursuit of finding what it is you believe. Since joy is found in belief, we all have to push through unhappiness to find joy."

They have four albums; a self named album released in 2009,Regional At Best in 2011, Vessel in 2013 and Blurryface in May of 2015.
