Aoba Johsai is a neighbouring private high school to Karasuno. Most of the players from Kageyama's middle school, Kitagawa Daiichi went there after graduating, sparking a certain rivalry between Karasuno and it.
This private school, with the nickname Seijoh is one of the top powerhouse schools in the Miyagi Prefecture, causing many volleyball fanatics to go there. Seijoh is so great, in the beginning of the anime, it
is made clear that the only other school it's ever lost to is the private acadamy Shiratorizawa which is the top school of the Prefecture.

Oikawa Tooru
Oikawa is an extremely strong third year setter and server in Aoba Johsai. We are told that Kageyama, the genius setter, learned his volleyball skills by watching Oikawa play in middle school. He is protrayed as an internally i
insecure character while acting 100 percent sure about himself on the outside. He was first introduced as a ladiesman or a womanizer, having extremely good looks and an athletic build. Many females would croud him or
simply watch a volleyball game just to cheer for him. He is given many chocolates or gifts by his "fans" and is always putting on a cheerful smile. That smile, however, as stated by his childhood best friend Iwaizumi
is rarely genuine. He has slightly curly brown hair with bangs and chocolate brown eyes. His height is pretty tall, at 184.3 when first introduced.
Iwaizumi Hajime
Iwaizumi is Oikawa's best friend from childhood and the ace third year wing spiker of Aoba Johsai. He is constantly frusturated with his immature best friend and that often results in Oikawa being called names like Trashykawa or getting
punched/slapped. He's mostly shown with an irked or furious expression usually due to Oikawa's personality. He however, really does care about Oikawa's health and acts often like a guardian to keep him in check. One example of
that was when Oikawa lost control and almost punched Kageyama, only to be stopped by Iwaizumi, telling him to cool off. In the manga he is shown with black hair and brown eyes while in the anime he is introduced with dark brown
hair and olive green eyes. His height is 179.3 and has an extremely muscular build.
Kindaichi Yuutarou
Kindaichi is currently in his first year at Aoba Johsai and used to be on the same middle school team as Kageyama. He and the rest of his middle school are the people gave Kageyama the name "The King Of The court" Due to his extreme dislike
for the now Karasuno setter. He is a middle blocker regular on the Aoba Johsai volleyball team and is often made fun of for his ridiculous hair style, earning the nickname "Turnip head" from Hinata. He has raven black hair, shaped like a turnip
(earning him the nickname) and is at the impressive height of 189.2cm. His face is scowling most of the time, on contrast to Oikawa but it's not as intimidating as Kageyama's piercing glare.
