Tank Set-Up
Guppies should be kept in ten gallons of water or more.
They should have plenty of hiding spaces to make them feel comfortable. Hiding places will also let
guppy fry hide from the adults.
The tank should have a suitable sized filter to keep the water clean. It should also have an airstone/airpump
to keep the water oxygenated.
Food
Guppies in the wild feed on algae, and small aquatic organisms. Guppies are omnivores.
In captivity guppies should be fed high quality flake or pellet foods.
They should also be fed frozen brine shrimp, cyclops, and ather frozen foods.
Guppies can also be fed live brine shrimp.
If guppies are fed a high quality diet with the foods mentioned above,

they should have very vibrant colours and be extremely healthy fish.
Water
The water in a guppy tank should be kept around 75 Degrees Farenheit.
The ph should be slightly higher than 7.0.
Tank Mates
Guppies are peaceful, calm fish, perfect for the community aquarium.
There are some fish they can not go with, though.
They should not go with any aggresive fish, or fish that nip at their long, flowing, fins.
Fish that are not suitable include angelfish, barbs, and certain teras. Be sure to do you're research
about guppy tank mates before buying other fish for you're guppy tank.
