He dislike Tomoe, and the two are fighting when they meet.
He left Kurama mountain 16 years ago and has been living in human world.

Imperial Priestess of the Lake is a catfish who live in the lake with her many fish attendants.
Ten years ago, she love a young boy.
She asks Nanami to help her meet that boy again.
Tomoe didn't agree because people and yokai can't love, but Nanami help Imperial Priestess of the Lake find that boy.
Then, she let Tomoe make Imperial Priestess of the Lake turned to a human and meet that boy.

Bamboo is a barbaric yokai.
When he know Nanami doesn't respect Imperial Priestess of the Lake(Tomoe didn't let Nanami to meet Imperial Priestess of the Lake), and he fight with Tomoe.
But Tomoe was win and let Bamboo change to a fish,
said he was Tomoe and Nanami's dinner,then Nanami stoped Tomoe.
